Tribute to Hans C. Andersen

Professor Hans C. Andersen, a distinguished scientist and member of the National Academy of Sciences, was part of a pioneering generation of chemists who shaped modern theoretical chemistry. His work laid the groundwork for significant advancements in chemistry, materials science, and biophysics.

Additionally, Hans was recognized as a beloved mentor and exceptional scholar in the field of chemical education and was the recipient of the Dean's Award for Distinguished Teaching as well as the Walter J. Gores Award for Excellence in Teaching.

In memory of Hans, the family requests gifts be made to the Stanford Graduate Student Fellowship Fund in the Department of Chemistry. All contributions are tax deductible. Thank you for your generosity.
